... Jean-Bosco Ntimpirangeza, trainee car mechanic
Hello, my name is Jean-Bosco Ntimpirangeza. I am 22 and was born in Braunschweig. After my school leaving exams, I started a car mechanic training course in Wolfsburg and am now in my third year of training.

Since last August, I have been technical/trade manager of the Wolfsburg junior company. A total of 12 trainees work in this trainee company. My function provides me above all with insight into company processes and commercial relations and allows me to gather my first experiences in the area of personnel management.

Once I have completed my training at Volkswagen, I plan to start a degree in mechanical engineering so I can work in the area of research and development later on.

What do I like about Volkswagen as an employee? The fact that it is a global company and therefore all paths are open for my personal development including opportunities abroad. Furthermore the comprehensive career training at Volkswagen provides me with a solid basis for the studies I have planned. I like the partner-like, but still performance-based working atmosphere at Volkswagen. If you are good, you will be supported accordingly. And if you do more than necessary, you are rewarded.

Perhaps something about my daily routine: Work starts in Wolfsburg at 7.30 a.m. First of all, I normally check my mail in my e-mail program and then take care of my various special jobs. Every Wednesday I work all day at the junior company. Work ends at 3.30 p.m. Back in Braunschweig, where I live, I still have enough time to tinker with my Golf Mark I convertible. As is normal for someone who is mad about cars...
